I have not heard of the name Wash Cook and wonder if it could be shortened from Washington Cook? Friday, 9 May 1919, Vol 33. No 3--John Cook, son of Mrs. Wash Cook, who recently landed from overseas, came home Saturday to remain. He saw real service at the front and was severely wounded and spent several months in a hospital. He is entirely recovered, we are pleased to state. I would like to know who Mrs. Wash Cook is and who this John is if anyone can help me. Thanks Jere
