    1. [COOK-L] Mystery Letter
    2. Martha Davis
    3. Found in the family trunk belonging to my grandfather, James Jasper Cook, Calhoun (Gordon Co.) GA, a letter dated February 26, 1896, postmarked Senoia, Newnan, GA to "My Dear Brother" from "your sister until death, Sallie Cook." The envelope is addressed to "Mr. J. Sh. Cook, Colhan, Ga". To my knowledge, my grandfather had no sister or sister-in-law named Sallie, and I'm wondering if it was a postal mis-delivery intended for someone in "Cochran" or some other location instead of Calhoun. Names mentioned in the body, Susie, Ed "going to see the girls every Sunday", Estell, Mamie, Lillie, and she mentions a baby walking and "ain't knee high to a duck." Mean anything to any of you GA Cook researchers? Thanks, Martha Cook Davis, Atlanta [email protected] PS I'm new to the list. Can someone tell me what "Cook's Crier' is?
