    1. Re: [COOK] John COOK Jr 1748 Eng-1810 NY, Patriot; Wives Abigail (NJ or CT?) ...
    2. I surely hope that you can help. We do not know the name of the "first" Daniel Cook's wife. (References are of him as the "English -born father" of Abram Cook.) I must learn to scan so that I may send info as printed on pages Our first known Cook ancestor was the above mentioned Daniel Cook whose wife's name we do not know. He came from England (do not know name of ship), but Abram Cook, son of Daniel Cook, m. Feebe (Phoebe) Mastin of Virginia. Abram Cook was born in Maryland. (The Daniel Cook, born in England, who as Abram Cook's father, had moved his family from Maryland to Virginia.) Abram Cook and Feebe (Phoebe Mastin Cook) had a son, Daniel Cook who m. a Ruth Moultrie. This Daniel Cook served in the Revolutionary War. Daniel Cook and Ruth Moultrie Cook had a son, another Daniel Cook. This Daniel Cook (1795-1878) married Martha Warren Norwood, dau. of (Capt.) John and Mary Warren Dubose Norwood. Daniel Cook and Martha Warren Norwood, m. Jan. 28, 1818.This Daniel Cook served in the War of 1812. Daniel Cook and Martha Warren Norwood Cook had a son, Samuel Calvin Cook (born 1837), who m. Mary Harrell Gullett Cook. Samuel Calvin Cook (my grandfather) served in the War Between the States. I don't believe that there is a typo in these dates. (I have done that before!) I wish that I had MORE dates; however, if you think that you have one of these lines, I can go other places to get more dates for comparison. Please let me know. I DO HOPE that you can help me.
