i was rereading the letters written regarding David Cook. I thought they may be related to my George, Addison, and William Cook. They were in Washtenaw County, MI in the 1840's coming from Seneca County, NY. I have a letter dated from relatives in Tyre, NY dated 1846. It is signed Joel H. and Mary Ann White to George. Several other letters of the family too as they moved to Kalamazoo County, Allegan and St Joseph County. George born 1814, VT and Wm born !827? NY. My grgrandfather,Gilbert George Cook, was born to Wm and Eva Cook, 1848 in Willis Washtenaw county, MI. I think Addison was a brother too. This has been a brick wall for to find more info on the family. Think there is any connection?
