    3. Maybe you can help me. According to "The Two American Presidents - Abraham Lincoln & Jefferson Davis " by Bruce Chadwick, Carol Publishing Group, 1999 - Jefferson Davis, Pres. Of Confederacy, was the tenth child of Samuel and Jane (Cook) Davis, Jefferson Davis was born in a log house, in Christian (now Todd) County, Kentucky, on June 3, 1808. I have not found the parents of "Jane" Cooke. Can you tell me more about your Paula Cook Davis? My 3rd great grandfather John Cook Sr. had a sister named Paula Cook Davis who was the mother of Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy, who was born in Logan county Kentucky. Christian county was part of Logan county Kentucky. -----Original Message----- From: cook-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cook-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dorothy Wogh Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2006 4:43 PM To: cook@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [COOK] Jefferson Davis Cook It is just possible that the hospital was the only place that had a TB unit for any patients that had it.
