Hi, I am still hoping to locate parents and siblings of my Gr. grandfather Jacob COOK b. 05 Oct. 1820 in (Jefferson Co. ?) VA/WVA and d. 07 Nov. 1877 in Henry County, MO. It is believed that Jacobs' mother's maidend name may have been WOMELSDORF. That has yet to be documented. He was married to Amelia(Millie) LONGBRAKE or LAMBRIGHT around 1854-1856. Exact date and place of marriage unknown. Amelia's family lived in Harper's Ferry or Shepardstown, Jefferson Co., VA/WVA in 1853 and left in 1854 for Henry Co., IA. Jacob and Amelia's 1st child Franklin K. Cook was b. in IA in 1855 or 56. Jacob & Amelia are found on the Henry Co., MO 1860 & 1870 census. Amelia remarried after Jacob's death to a James DUDDERAR, DUDDERER or DUDDENEN 1879 in MO. I am trying to find some COOK's with LONGBRAKE, LAMBRIGHT or WOMELSDORF connections.
