Back in my "early days" of research (about a year ago :O), I (gasp!) made a copy of a document without recording the source of it or (shudder!) where/when I copied it! So, please help me put the missing bits & pieces to this information: from: unknown printed publication, p. 998, Hart County: John B. Cook, (3rd s/o Wm. F. Cook's 6 sons & 5 daus), b. 10/23/1819 in Hart Co., KY. Wm. F. Cook (2nd s/o Henry Cook's 5 sons & 2 daus), b. 3/28/1789 in VA; farmer & slave owner in VA; immigrated to KY before evacuation by Indians. Wm. F. Cook lived @ home till marriage (age 22); stonemason; 1815 entered 250 ac. in Hart Co. (now owned/occupied by John B. Cook). Wife: Nancy Gum (from a family of 1 son/1 dau; her mother Margaret Ann Kennedy, b. MD m. 3 times to: McComus, Gum, Dale). Wm. F. Cook went w/Gen. Hopkins in Indian Campaign to Indiana; d. there 6/21/1865; Nancy Gum Cook d. 7/3/1865; member of Christian Ch., she member of Baptist Ch. John B. Cook took charge of father's farm abt 1852 till 1865. 1/11/1866 m. Mary F. Harlow (3rd ch. of Jesse & Nancy Wright Harlow who had 4 daus). Jesse Harlow b. Barren Co., his wife b. LaRue Co. John Cook (bef. 1865) w/his brother bought 60 ac. of the original tract of Wm. F. Cook. His bro. died and he inherited 16.5 ac. of it.... 2 Ch: Wm. Lee (schooled @ Glasgow, KY); Mary Clementina (d. 1786, age 7) John B. Cook & wife member of Christian Ch.; a Mason; a Whig and later Democrat. Other Ch: George W., Elizabeth (m. McComus), Valentine, Margaret A. (m. Lindell & Carter), James M., Mary J. (m. Hardy), Martha S. (m. Prewitt), Dorinda T. (m. Edwards), William W., Henry C. & Jonathan W.
