    2. Wish you all would take a look at the Cook DNA Page and get some more tests going, sure would like to find more matches for our James Cook- he is first found abt 1790 in Effingham Co., GA, and died about 1812 in Jefferson Co., MS. He married Margaret Hawthorne, their children were; I would love to have some DNA of my Cook line too, but I'm a female and I think they need males. I'm the only child and my parents both passed away in the '70s. I have a male first cousin in his early 70s, but his health is not that good right now. I wish he could take the test because that's basically the only male that I really know that close in my line. Susie

    3. Susie, Yes, it has to be a Male with the Surname "Cook", Please take a look at the page- there is no age requirements-and the test is a mouth swab so not painful- the Project Administrators can help you with any more questions- Really hope you will be able to participate, as well as all the new Cook Lines (new to me) with all the great info I've seen on the List the last few days.
