    2. Hi Mary-Gene, I have been working on this family for years and I had William's name and wife, etc. before we ever wrote to each other. William was listed in records related to this family. For instance, he was along with John and other Cooks listed in the estate accounts and sales for Herbert Cook his brother. There are other records of Mecklenburg County which list William as being connected to this Cook family. I do genealogy research for myself and for some years now for others too and I have been going through tons of records for various families at the Library of Virginia for many years since they were in the old building so I am pretty well acquainted with doing genealogy searching.
