Christine, I just wonder if maybe our John Cook could have come from that area. I'll tell you our story. *John COOK* b around *1736* -+ shows up in Parsippany Morris County NJ along about 1770 or so. There is a *"Phoebe wife of John Cook* "buried in the Presbyterian church yard there, *dying* at age 25y on *16 May1775*. By the time she dies they have 4 children that we know of. David b. 1768 - 1775 Ann b. 1768- 1775 Mary ( Polly) b. 30 Mar 1775 Jemima Cook b. 1768- 1775. 2nd wife documented in Morristown Presby Church Mabel Johnson b. 1758 Hanover dau. of Alexander and Lois (Gregory)Johnson they had 6 children Phebe b. 27 Nov 1778 William b. ? Samuel Gregory b. 1781 Sarah b. 1788 John C. b. 1790 Timothy H. b. 1793 I was thinking perhaps they had come from a different religous affiliation than Presby. The children do not show up in the church records of Hanover, Morristown, or Parsippany. Maybe Quaker. I am searching. Does any of this fit anywhere. I can only find one John Cook b near that time, but he died in NH, so he is no help to you. I also searched on "Phoebe" to see if I could find anything, but nothing shows up. I'm sorry. Of course, that doesn't eliminate the possibility. He just isn't in my records. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Brown" <cookiebrown11@gmail.com> To: <cook@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 10, 2006 6:24 PM Subject: Re: [COOK] COOK, NH & Quakers > Christine, > > I just wonder if maybe our John Cook could have come from that area.
