My William Cook was born 1843 in Philadelphia. Moved to Illinois when out of grammer school. Always said he was an orphan and I can't find any record of him in PA or his family. I know a lot about him later, he fought in Civil War, married, had 11 children. One of the sons was my grandpa. Wish I could find more on his parents.
