None of what you wrote sounds familiar to me except Virginia. My Great Grandfather was James J. Cook who was born in Broadway, Virginia. Name of his parents (on his marriage certificate) was James Cook and Elizabeth Fisher. James J. Cook was born 12-16-1983 in Broadway, Virginia and later moved to Jeffersonville, Ohio where he married Ida E. Myers 12-16-1883. Ida was born in 1863. They had 6 children - Cora born 1884, Albert born 1886 (My Grandfather), Chester born 1888, Ulen born 1893, Howard born 1898 and Lester born 1901. 2. My Daniel Cook was born around 1820 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He had two brothers (all the siblings I have found so far) William and Levi. They moved to Nelson County, Virginia and were all married there and raised their families there. I cannot find their parents, no records left in Rockingham County for that period because of fire. Is anyone else researching this family. Thanks, Betty Wine bwine12@netzero.com

    2. I'll let you know if I find anything that I think may be of interest to you. Please do the same. I am "fairly new" on computer and VERY new on genealogy. I usually keep hard copies of e-mails (and will yours). I find that easier for referring. Please keep us and "Daniel Cook" in mind. Thanks! Robbie Cook Purser RobbiePurser@aol.com
