They had 5 children, all born in Germany: Katherine or Kristine who married and stayed in Germany when the family came to USA Friedrich Gretchen (legally Margaret) Marie Henry b.March 30, 1869 Port of entry: N.Y. in Oct. 1882. They went first to North Dakota Then to Two Rivers, Wi. They lived at 2018 13th St. - Barbara died Dec. 7, 1915 George died March 19, 1916 I'm looking for marriage dates, baptism, siblings and other info from their years in Germany, and anything that would explain the time in North Dakota, land records or whatever. George's father's name was Henry Koch and mother's name was Margaret. Would also like info on them. I would guess they lived and died in Germany. Milli

Thank you very much for the warning. These books are nothing but a list of all persons with the same name and their addresses and phone numbers. This is the same info you can get from any of the phone book list on line (below I've listed some of the phone books). I've seen one of these books (a client showed me the one he bought) so I do know what's in them. Watch anything that comes in the mail about having a book on your surnames for these books change names due to the US postal Department fining them. The only thing that never seems to change is the location, they are always in OHIO. I am seeking Information on Jeremiah L. Cook. The information I have on him states that he was born on 03 March, 1843, probably in Virginia, possibly in what later became West Virginia. He joined the Civil war in 1863 at Pendleton Co. WV, He and a brother served as Confederates and their father was in the Union Army. All served at the battle of New Market. His first marriage was in 1873 to unknown wife. He had three daughters and one son named Isaac. In 1900 he lived in Douglas Co. Missouri and his wife was Laura ROBINSON. He married Laura Robinson on 30 June 1890 in Lamar, Barton Co. Missouri. His children mentioned in the 1900 census were Issac born in Feb. 1881, in West Virginia. Issac was from his first wife, and Effie M.,Clara B., Maudie Faye, Martha, Harry, Dorthy, and Willie were his and Lauras children. Does anyone know where he was from and who his parents were. Hi, Just to correct some info...Halbert's (I assume that the company you are referring to) is no longer operating just in OH. I wish I still had a copy of an article that was posted on the Chumbley List a few months back. What I can remember off the top of my head...It was an article from the Durham-Orange Genealogical Society Newsletter that warned about Halbert's changing its name and "moving" to Washington DC. That is where some of their mailings are coming from now. So be careful (Darn! I wish I still had that article! I would be able to give you the exact name the Wash, DC company is going under!). I am looking for the family of Susan Jane COOK ca 1849 in TN (county unk). Her gdtr, my gmother, who is now deceased, said that Susan was a COOK however, I found her marriage as Susan J. PLANT mrd William NEAL 1867 in Pontotoc MS. I am 99% sure this is her. Was COOK a previous married name or was PLANT? Susan & William NEAL lived in MS, OK & TX. For example, I found them in the 1880 Delta Co TX census. Their children were: Margarette, Ara Della and Thornton. Susan has auburn hair & blue eyes. Her father was a merchant, she had at least 2 brothers, she lived on the MS River as a child & recalled being raided by Yankees. Any ideas if she is a COOK? Thanks. Hi Group, Hope everyone is having a great day. There are several of us here on the Cook mail group that are descendants of Edward Netty Cook, born in 1760, lived in Orange County, NC. He was my gggggrandfather. His son was Jesse Cook, born 1809, lived in Rutherford, Cleveland, then Burke County. His son Aaron Cook was born in 1837 in Burke County. His son Samuel Cooke was my great grandfather, born in Burke ( I think), and died in Winston-Salem in 1936.
