1. [COOK-L] ANNOUNCEMENTS: Sunday Morning Coffee
2. ( ) .-.,--^--. _ Good Morning Cook Cousins \\| `---' |// Come on in the coffee pot's on \| / _\___/_ Good Morning Family, A big welcome to our new members. Before long you will know everyone and feel comfortable. We are a unique group of people. We cry together and we laugh together, as we are truly one big happy family. The best part about us is the way we help each other. If you are new to the Internet, or new to genealogy, please do ask questions. Someone in this group has an answer to help you. We are all eager to see who your Cook's were so when you are ready, do post them. (I would like to repeat from last Sunday about our subject lines. ) I am hearing good comments about the way you all are really doing a good job! Let's don't give up until we find our lost Cook's! Our subject lines are looking much better! It's really for our benefit that we learn to fill them out so members can tell exactly what's inside. We have members who will not read a query if it doesn't give information. So I wonder how many of you aren't getting your query read? Maybe you haven't sent one in a long time because you didn't get any replies. I hope you can think up a good subject line and resend it. The main thing is that we want to catch someone's eye! With the bingo's we have had on this list, I know someone is doing something right. Let's practice :) I was so proud of the way we conducted ourselves last week! We did need to know about the happy99 e-mail. I hope next time we can get the subject line in it's right place. If we do this...no one can complain about the extra posts that are being sent in. Why? because no one HAS to read Chat. Read below the description of Chat and you will get a better idea of what I am trying to accomplish for our list. Chat is just what it is...chat nothing more. If we learn to stay within our guidelines, we are safe. No one has the right to say anything back to you because you filled the subject line out with CHAT first. Let's really start using the Courtesy Rules so we are always in the right. Rule or Post #3:CHAT: Give Short Description.....Acknowledgments, greetings, well-wishes, holiday greetings, chit chat for members of the list. This includes responding to a post for example like the happy99 virus, or discussion of a roll call. This keeps our chat away from our genealogy. They need to be kept separated. Need to make your day happy? I found a good site you might want to go see... Annnie's Email Encourager Page http://www.annieshomepage.com/emailencouragers.html She's a wonderful person! If you haven't been to our Cook Cooke Koch web page, do take a look. This is our web homepage address ... http://members.aol.com/CookCooke Stay sweet and kind just like you are and not change, and I promise not to change also. BG I really enjoyed having coffee with you this morning, it was so nice! ( ) _.-~(~-. (@\`---'/. Ellie (' `._.' `) `-..___..-'

1. [COOK-L] COOKS in KY,TN, MO, TX
2. I had earlier posted a notice about the family of WILLIAM COOK and his wife, HANNAH GREENE. Children born in KY and TN were ANDERSON, WILSON, WILLIAM, CALVIN, AND WESLEY. That was correct. But when someone wrote and asked about one of the children I had listed for ANDERSON AND LUCINDA COOK in the 1850 COOPER Co.,MO census I discovered that I had dropped down to the next family on the census and listed Kuykendall children rather than COOK children. CORRECTED LIST of children of ANDERSON and LUCINDA STONE COOK in 1850 Cooper Co. MO census: MARTHA, FRANCIS, MARION, and ERIN, who is not on the 1860 census in Wise Co. TX Sorry about that, folks!
