Just to let you know...I am a member of this list. I had subscribed to it a couple of days ago and posted a message about Bollinger and Madison Co, MO Cooks. I became infected with the virus when a Kit Brewer replied to my message (or appeared to) with some attachments. I thought he was sending me something about my posting. Instead it was the virus and mailed itself to all of my address book. So as a warning...It came like a reply to the message I posted. I figure Kit Brewer received it and passed it along the same way I had. I had Grisoft AVG virus installed but it didn't catch it. I downloaded a freebie last night from McAfee and it took care of it. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, December 01, 2001 9:52 AM Subject: Re: [COOK-L] New Bible Records Genealogy Site > Good Morning...I just saw this in my email and looked at the list and > sure enough it has a virus in it. This is the third time I've gotten the BadTrans Virus from this mailing list this week. My Norton didn't pick it up the first time because I didn't have it updated. So it's still in the mailing list, because I got it this morning again. I think everyone needs to update their antivirus. Norton's website has some stepbystep instructions on how to remove it, their instructions are pretty good. All three times, they've come as the same document. S3MSong.doc.scr. It's been as a download.

I appreciate it. Tandi A: It is a common misconception that there is a family coat of arms in Western European heraldry. There is no such thing as "the Cook coat of arms." I am aware of at least twelve different arms granted to twelve different Cooks. Arms are granted to a particular individual. Only that individual and his/her heirs may legitimately use those arms. To do otherwise may subject you to liability in some countries (mine are trademarked) and will cause those who are knowledgeable to pass knowing smiles. If you wish to have arms, in the US you may assume arms; make up your own. The American College of Heraldry, a private group, can assist. If you can show ancestry to England or Scotland, you can obtain a grant from those jurisdictions. CAPT G.A. Cook of Kingerly Attorney (US) Solicitor (England & Wales)
