Dear Administrator, I am having a very difficult time opening my e-mails that are being sent to me on this Cook website. It is necessary for me to click four to five different places on my computer before I can finally bring it up to where I can read the e-mails that are being sent. I was subscribed until back in the fall to this site and was receiving the e-mails sent into this site. All I needed to do was click one time and it just came up on the monitor. My computer broke down and now having resubcribed, this is the way it is coming to me at this time. Could you please check and see what the difficult is and let me receive it as I had been receiving it for at least a couple of years. Thank you much for your assistance, Hollis ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 23, 2002 6:00 AM Subject: COOK-D Digest V02 #49

Hi, I've recently been asking for help to find Birth details of my Gr.Grandmother, Williamina Cook. Well, a million apologies to all Cook listers I've just spent a week down at the Mitchell Labrary, Glasgow, pouring through the IGI for England, and guess what, I think I have her, under the name Wilhelmina Cook. On the IGI Index, which is in Quarters, there are also Volume and Page numbers. Here's what I have: 1871, Jun Qtr, Wilhelmina Cook, District, Liverpool, Volume 8b, Page 160. Could someone tell me what to do now...??? How do I get the details...?? Any help would be appreciated. Once again, apologies for misleading you all. Best regards, Alex Brown
You are looking for Cooks in Erie, PA. It would help to know the time period of interest, and the names of some of these Cooks. -- K

The balance of the Kentucky and Tennessee Cook web pages will be slowly but surely moved to the url from the current site at Geocities. The Geocites pages will not go away but will not be updated - updates will be made as they are moved to http://www.ancestorstories.org/cook/ Don't rush to the new site looking for all the info, though - it will be a couple of months before it is all moved and made accessable. thanks, Pat Pat Ray Scheele Come Surf with Us!
I'm new to this page and wondered if anyone could help me trace the birth of my GGgrandfather - Christopher COOK(E) bc 1801 ?where. He died 4.11.1848 aged 47 in Llanvair Kilgeddin in Monmouthshire. He married Rachel EDWARDS in 1826 in Llanfihangel Gobion in Monmouthshire and had at least four children. In the 1841 census it stated Christopher was not born in Monmouthshire hence my problem as he died before the 1851 census which might have told me where he did come from! Any help would be gratefully received! Best wishes Nikki
