As family hearsay is all I have to go on and definatly different stories on that to boot. One says that there was a James Sr b. ca 1763 and James Jr.b. ca 1790 that came to states abt 1794.to NY first and then moved on. 2nd. says that James JR. and wife Bridgett , 2 girls and preganant , came to the States shortly before John Thomas (my ggrandfather) was born which was Apr 05 1853 near Evenville IN.
