He came to the U.S. with a brother John(?). Served in the Civil war with troops from New York and Iowa. He worked on the railroad with his brother all of the way out to Utah where he married (Apr 1869) and stayed. There is a John Conlin in Box Elder county,Utah on the 1870 census, 34 years of age born in Ireland. It appears this John does not stay in Utah. According to tradition his brother went back to the midwest. His mother's name is possibly Bridget. His children's names are Ernest Edward, Anna Eliza, William Ensign, Olive, & May Pauline. May Pauline, Ernest, and Olive are not names from the other side of the family. I have complete information on their mother's family. Any information on the brother or parents would be greatly appreciated.
