So, the little new info I have is that my grandfather's parents (Earl Edgar Conlin) were from N. Ireland (which I hadn't thought to be true) - meaning he may be of the same line as yours in (London)Derry. Nobody seems to know anything beyond this (not even his parents names). I would think they came over to the States sometime between 1870's-1900. My Grandpa was born around 1905-6. He was born and they lived in Corktown (Detroit), where they had a cleaners. The cleaners burned down around 1915 (give or take a few years). His mother died. His father (very ill then) and he moved to Ann Arbor (a farm outside the town). They were dirt poor with dirt floors after the fire, etc etc.
