Hi, A sad thing is that Ancestry is closing down inactive lists, there is much discussion on our listowners list about this but nothing we can seem to do about it. As list-owner , I don’t have at lists one Condor ancestor I will try to put some chatter on this list weekly to keep it alive. I invite you to become a little more active. Put on the list the names of your mother, father, grandpa and grandma and any stories you want to post about them . I know we are about to start a new year, it is a busy time but I do think our list needs to keep going. Maybe post something this week or next week or next January or February. On the 1870 and 1880, District 7, Decatur Co., TN censuses Ellen's surname is shown as CONDER and CONDOR. She lives in the household of Jane CONDER. There are many children in this household, but no male head of household. In 1886 Ellen married Henry Calvin RIGGS, a son of my gr grandfather, Isah Calvin RIGGS. She died Jan. 2, 1932 in Decatur Co., and on her Death Certificate her father's name is shown as Perry HOUSTON, TN, mother's name Allstha JONES, Decatur Co., TN. There is no informant name on the Death Certificate. Can anyone tell me if the parent names on this certificate are correct? If so, was she adopted into Jane CONDER family? Any help is appreciated. Wm was born in Davies County, his father in Spencer County and His mother in Davies County. Clara was born in Spencer County and her father James PATTON was born in Ohio. I need help finding information about Mary Condor's husband, THOMAS JACKSON (b. 1840 - d. 1890 ), married 27 Aug. 1871, had approx. 12 children, one died very young. She was born 02/20/1848 died 12/10/1920, both buried Lamar Co., TX. I have no information on the JACKSON side of the family. THOMAS JACKSON may have come from Missouri.
