    3. I received a file from a friend, produced by Access 2007. Simce I do not have the right program I cannot open it. What type of file is it, and can it be transferred to another type of file, or printed out into an adobe file? If so, can anyone do one of those things for me? The fellow who sent the file is not too up on all its workings. He intends to redo the data into a Word file. (It is not a private file. The data will end up on my website if I can get to it.) Bea

    3. Try Open office. I used to use it to open database and spreadsheet before I acquired MS office. Good luck ________________________________ From: Bea <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, 23 January 2012, 13:01 Subject: [COMPUTERS] Access 2007 I received a file from a friend, produced by Access 2007. 3. Bea, What is the filename suffix? If you let me know what the filetype is, I will know what you should do with it. It's unlikely he sent an access db file. More likely an exported file. 3. Hi Bea, I don't believe you can send a file straight from Access.  It would have to have been exported into a different format.  I can "print" straight to PDF (but you need to have a program that will create PDF files).  Alternatively you can export from Access to Excel or RTF - the latter is useful if you're trying to copy a report rather than a table. The request from one of the listers here for you to tell us what the suffix in the file name is is the most important bit of information you can give us, as there are so many ways data can be generated from Access.
