I have scanned photos to my pc. These then get saved to the external hard drive. I have then copied from the external hard drive to my laptop. They then get saved again from the laptop to the external hard drive. No problems in scanning, saving to ehd and copying from ehd to laptop. However, when they are copied a fourth time from the laptop to the ehd they break up. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens? David
Hi David, This is my interpretation of your process, as you described it... Scan >> PC >> Ext HD >> Laptop >> Ext. HD What is your operating system and how much memory do you have ? What programs/processes are you using to do all of this copying ? Why are you copying to so many locations ? Are you processing the photos along the way (i.e. Photoshop) ? When you copy to the Ext. HD the 2nd time, is it to the same folder (overwrite) or to a new folder ? What do you mean when you say the files "break up" ? Regards, Kevin.
