Hi Mary The fact it has downloaded the old mails and does not do so each time you download says to me it was a one off and they are clearing off the server If you go to gmail and sign in you will probably see an empty inbox As to the copies you are getting, as far as I know there is no easy way to stop them, mind you I prefer it that way as I know mails have been through the server and therefore more likely to reach their destination I don't know how live mail works so it may not be relevant Does it have user definable mail rules ? If so you could set up a rule to move those mails to the deleted items folder (or whatever its called in live mail) It is surely easier to just delete them isn't it?
