    3. Try removing and replacing the new cartridges and check them to make sure they are fitting in properly. If they are not seated correctly they will register as bad. Once mine did this and I found the clasp that held them in had not shut properly.   Also, if you went a long time without using your printer the feeds may have dried ink in them. I was told by a computer tech to turn the printer ON, make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated,then reach over and pull the plug (disconnect from electricity) with the printer turned on, wait 30 seconds and re-plug it in and (turn printer "on" if it has automatically shut off) He said this would force the printer back to "out of the box" settings and would usually clear up the problem. It has worked for me, hopefully it will work for you.
