The breaking up of the photos is into separate horizontal bands each having predominantly a single colour. I have a desktop pc to which I scanned the photos. I use SyncBack SE to automatically copy files to an external hard drive. Since scanning the photos I have purchased a laptop. I also use SyncBack SE to copy files from the laptop to a different folder on the same ehd. I copied from the ehd to the laptop without a problem. When this folder was then copied to its mirror on the ehd the photos broke up. What I have done to keep a good copy on the laptop ehd copy is to copy directly from pc ehd folder to laptop ehd folder. This laptop ehd folder does however get overwritten by the automatic copying process. It is not a major problem as I do have a good copy but would like to know why and if there is anything I can do about it. Scan >> PC >> Ext HD >> Laptop >> Ext. HD What is your operating system and how much memory do you have ? What programs/processes are you using to do all of this copying ? Why are you copying to so many locations ? Are you processing the photos along the way (i.e. Photoshop) ? When you copy to the Ext. HD the 2nd time, is it to the same folder (overwrite) or to a new folder ? What do you mean when you say the files "break up" ? Regards, Kevin. Hi David, I hear you, but I don't quite understand why you need to do a 2nd copy to the EHD from the Laptop. You have the Photos on your PC, then your EHD, then your Laptop. Why copy them back to the EHD from the Laptop unless some changes are being done to the Photos on your Laptop ? Regards, Kevin.
