Nivard....I have had four different scanners, as well as several all-in-one machines. I have scanned photos with all of them. Now I have the Epson V600 Photo Scanner. I have scanned several thousand photos, slides and film strips. This V600 does it all...and does a very good job. It comes with some great "helps" like "Ice" and mine even came with a copy of PSE7...this was a couple of years ago when I bought it. I could not ask for a better scanner....please go to the Epson site and check on the V600...I don't know about how it is sold in the UK... the web site is down just now....but check online for different companies. There is one email list just for Epson scanners [email protected] you might go there and ask about their experience or read their archives. If I can answer any questions for you, I will be very happy to. FYI I am very senior, and had no problem with learning to use this scanner at all!
