    3. Thanks Kevin This sounded promising so downloaded it and then installed with no obvious problem But on trying to play a DVD I get a sort of pixelated image with the figures in a ghostly shadow I checked the DVD using another player (PowerDVD) and that worked fine So retried, same thing So I uninstalled and downloaded afresh, reinstalled and exactly the same end result I don't know what the problem is but there seems to be some sort of conflict somewhere But thanks for the mention , I may suggest my daughter tries it on her Win7 laptop and see if it works on there (mine is XP) Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi Nivard, > > Have you tried VLC Media Player ? > > http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/ > > I use this to playback all media, including QuickTime movies and DVDs. > > If it is just viewing DVDs that you want to do, it id great. > > A stellar program that is being maintained and updated on a regular basis. > > > Regards, > Kevin.

    3. Hi Nivard, I've not had problems with VLC DVD Playback, but, scanning Google, it seems others have. Try this player. It was recommended on various blogs/forums... KMPlayer 3.1.0.0 http://kmplayer.en.softonic.com/ http://www.sevenforums.com/music-pictures-video/3347-vlc-playback-blocky-pixelated-3.html Regards, Kevin.
