I have to agree with Bud, Nivard. VLC is quite an extensive program and is widely used and well supported. I am sure there is a setting issue or the like. I play all of my DVDs with VLC and have had no issues... Question... Is your operating system Win 7 ? Hi Bud Thanks for the offer and it is appreciated I can assure you but I have already uninstalled VLC I don't need any further hoops to jump through, I just need something that will play DVDs with the ability to stop, close down and when restarted will have the option of starting from where it was left off or from the start I am very surprised how few DVD players do this , PowerDVD does for example Again thanks for the offer Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > VLC absolutely plays DVDs, you just need to understand how to 'open' the > files. > > If the instructions don't help you, contact me off-list and I'll work with > you til you get it.
