If anyone has Windows 7 and uses Kaspersky Internet Security and has recently been experiencing slow response times opening web sites, installed programmes, files etc as I have, here is the answer. Windows updates are causing a conflict between Windows 7 and Kaspersky. The short term answer is to uninstall/reinstall Kaspersky; you will notice a big improvement. It is quite likely to reoccur, however, when the next Windows update is downloaded. I understand that Kaspersky will be eventually providing an update that permanently fixes the problem. David Railton
