I have enlarged photos in Paint to a size I wish; maybe 4"x6". How can I get them printed in that enlarged size? They always print out in size of original photo and that is about 2"x2", taken many years ago and the faces are not clearly seen. TIA Mary Fran
How are you doing this enlarging of a photo? If you still have the original photo, it can be scanned at a higher resolution, which will produce a bigger printable image. I would use any program other than Paint, there are many Photo Editing programs out there and many are free. Yes, David is absolutely correct. Scan the original at a high resolution, then when you reduce to the size you want, keep the size even, so you don't split pixels. That way you will get the best of it. If you need to 'work' on the image, do it BEFORE you resample/reduce it. Use something like 'The Gimp'. You can also print nicely from Gimp. Paint isn't up to the job. Hi Mary Fran, Have you got a Word Processing program, like Microsoft Word? You can save your photos and import or copy them into MS Word. Once in MS Word, the photos can be re-sized, re-positioned and printed. Regards, Kevin.
