    3. Thanks for all those who replied to my query. I eventually able to get a new account this morning. It would not accept "fake" numbers for the cell phone space. I even tried a number that my daughter had on a phone that recently broke. (She may have already cancelled it ??) So, I used her real one. Hope she doesn't end up getting a lot of spam calls. The reason I want to get rid of gmail is that I hate not being able to see my messages to mail lists, nor am I pleased with the format of the overall display. Just my feelings - to each his own. :-) It does do a good job with the spam. I have been a Yahoo user for many years with no problems. Like the way the site looks and acts. Maybe it is just that I am use to it, but I find it is the easiest to use. My new address is from there now. I have a Hotmail account, and tried to make a new one there. Outlook.com, live.com and Hotmail are all connected now. It get a new one It suggested that I should make changes to my Hotmail account. Didn't look over the change needed too closely. Just gave up on it. Thanks again. Bea
