    3. Hi Mary, This sounds like a Hardware failure (CD/DVD Drive, I suspect). Is the CD/DVD Drive working? It may mean that you need to have a Tech person install a new CD.DVD Player... they are not very costly... You did not say why you were running a diagnostic test on the Dell.
