Hi Wayne / Joan I agree that is certainly an option but I would first try a separate monitor You may only need to replace the notebook screen which is not that expensive and given it works with a separate monitor you can continue to use the notebook until you replace the screen on it A hard drive enclosure is cheap but then you are without the notebook, it would be more cost effective to replace the screen if possible Re the hard drive enclosure, there are different types of connection so make sure you buy the right type for your hard drive should you go that route They also do a hard drive dock which is a little more universal in that they can take IDE or SATA hard drives and generally have a card reader on them too Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 09/09/2013 07:28, Wayne Jones wrote: > Take the hard drive out of the netbook and buy an enclosure for it.
