Hi all For a short while now I have had a problem with scrolling in emails in particular I use thunderbird and a wireless mouse with Win 7 If I slowly scroll down a mail to read it at certain points its either judders or goes in reverse, its very odd and very aggravating I thought it must be the mouse packing up and mentioned it to my wife, who immediately described the same symptoms on her laptop again using Win 7 but a wired mouse and she does not use Thunderbird but gmail online Is there a clue in this lot above as it has me beat for now Anyone having the same problems ? -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
My wireless Microsoft mouse does the same thing... I assume that it has to do with the software from MSFT that gets confused when the mouse is at a specific point in the scroll and can't make up it's mind if you are going up or down... I find if I just do a quick scroll up or down and then back to where I was it's stable for a bit... :) -----Original Message----- From: computers-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:computers-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Nivard Ovington Sent: Wednesday, November 13, 2013 3:07 PM To: computers@rootsweb.com Subject: [COMPUTERS] Mouse scroll judder Hi all For a short while now I have had a problem with scrolling in emails in particular I use thunderbird and a wireless mouse with Win 7 If I slowly scroll down a mail to read it at certain points its either judders or goes in reverse, its very odd and very aggravating I thought it must be the mouse packing up and mentioned it to my wife, who immediately described the same symptoms on her laptop again using Win 7 but a wired mouse and she does not use Thunderbird but gmail online Is there a clue in this lot above as it has me beat for now Anyone having the same problems ? -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
Hi George Apologies for the late reply Its a very odd one isn't it, I thought it must just be my mouse on the way out but it appears to be something else as others are having the same problem and they are using wired and other mice It seems to be a software problem but haven't been able to track it down as yet I did try taking the USB sensor out and tried in in another port, it went through the throws of reinstalling the mouse and since then it seems to be a lot more stable, but I am not convinced its cured as yet I will keep my eye on things and see how it goes Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 14/11/2013 03:39, George Elting wrote: > My wireless Microsoft mouse does the same thing...
