I have forgotten my password, I am the only Administrator on the computer. The only other user is just a standard user and cannot reset my password. When I try to add a new user through the command prompt, I kept getting a "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied". I have already tried to do it through safe mode with command prompt also. Does anyone know how to reset the password without re-installing the OS? Jennifer

My nephew had this problem a few years ago and I googled and found several ways. The one he had success with was a YOUTUBE Video. Another way was to remove the battery and then put it back in. Don't remember if there was a length of time to wait. Go to this site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ and type in lost or forgotten password. There should be a way to fix it on that site!
