Hi All, I use Windows Live Mail as my email system and on the whole I am happy and familiar with it so do not want to change to another system. But occasionally it puts up a window asking me to enter my user name and password ------------------------------------------------------------ Logon - Btinternet (christinebenson313) (1) Please enter your user name and password for the following server. Logon Server:         mail.btinternet.com User Name: christinebenson313@btinternet.com Password:    ********                      Remember Password                                        OK               Cancel ----------------------------------------------------------- Remember password is ticked. When I click "OK" it waits a few seconds and then puts up the window again. And again and again and again etc. If I click "Cancel" it puts up a window (Some icons and buttons omitted) ----------------------------------------------------- Windows Live Mail Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details Errors Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (christinebenson313) (1) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account. Server Error: 0x800CCC90 Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] (#MBR1213) Please verify your account by going to https://login.yahoo.com/ Server: 'mail.btinternet.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92 Protocol: POP3 Port: 110 Secure(SSL): No -------------------------------------------------------- But usually if I leave it overnight it works OK the next morning. This morning it didn't so I am using BT Yahoo which sits behind my Windows Live Mail to send this. But that is not as convenient and takes much longer. Note I have not changed my password. And rebooting does not help. I have been told I should not have both systems open at the same time and normally I don't - this morning is an exception as having them both open at once is the only way I could get the info into this email but they were not both open when it failed. I've had the same problem with Windows Live Mail. If I wait long enough, sometimes it will start working again - but sometimes it doesn't. I've had to call our att.net person but other times I've gone into my mail account at yahoo.com and checked my mail there. I normally do not use my mail account at yahoo but when I go in, I find that all my previous mail that I got at Windows Live Mail is there - so I have to delete tons of old e-mails from yahoo. Sometimes by just clearing out yahoo.com mail, my Windows Live Mail will be 'normal'.
