Hi All, I may have been hit by a hacker and I would appreciate some advice. I have received about 200 bounced emails, i.e. emails returned to me purporting to have come from me but couldn't be delivered because of a problem with the address. I didn't send them and they are not in my sent box and they are of the type "I am stranded and need money". But they don't appear to be using my contact list as I have checked on a few and they have received nothing untoward from me. But if 200 odd bounced how many got through and can I do anything about them when I don't know where they have gone. I have changed my password and done a scan and am about to do a full scan. What else can I and should I do. Any advice on what I should do or info on what has happened would be much appreciated. Christine I am on Windows7 and Windows Live Mail backed up by Yahoo. I am normally very careful about emails purporting to be from BT as many of them are actually from fred.bloggs, say, and I also check on the link I am being sent to before I click it in case that is duff. The emails are not in my sent box either on Yahoo or Windows Live Mail. I don't want to change my email provider as I am used to this system and normally don't have problems.
