Hi, I have XP on my PC and realise that I need to upgrade to Windows 7 home or Pro. My PC is now 7 years old and running very slowly (at times), so, I have decided to bite the bullet and my bank a/c and purchase a new PC. I have Eudora 7.1 (free edition) and have been very happy with it, will it work as well using Windows 7 Home or Pro. Some of my family history CDs will not run on Windows 7 so I am thinking of have a split something and having XP on one half and Windows 7 on the other half. A technician has advised me that it would be better to have Windows Pro rather than the Home edition to do this. I do have a laptop using XP so maybe it would be better to keep this for running the CDs (but I will also need to upgrade this computer to Windows), would it be better to have the Pro edition on the laptop? and just have the home edition on my PC. I would appreciate your expert thoughts on this - I am not tech savvy and would be guided by your ideas and experiences. Happy hunting, Annette WATSON Lismore Australia
