Windows 8 was directed more to the touch-screen & tablet audience until Microsoft "saw the light" (i.e $$$$$$$$) and made Windows 8.1 more friendly to the vast 'non-touch screen' PC and Laptop market. I think Windows 8.1 might be usable, but I will stick with Windows 7... My opinion !
