Sorry the subject should be new computers. Hello, With XP soon to bit the dust and with my very old Gateway computer I feel I should buy a new computer. Any ideas as to a good brand? I do Genealogy, Gardening and emails. I would appreciate any information. Thank you! Joan
I'm not comfortable with giving advise on what to buy for a new computer; however, I will say this if you Google "keeping XP after end of life" you will find good advise on how to keep your XP Gateway safe after the security updates stop. I have a Gateway XP laptop that works just fine, upgrading it or buying a new computer is not feasible for me to do right now. Something to think about if you are not really ready for new computer, but if you are I suggest going to stores that sell computers and find something you like.
