Hi There, It is highly possible that my husband's computer has been hit with the Conficker Worm. Last night a pop up occurred that stated he was infected. I couldn't get it close down no matter what I did. So, I went to the internet address on the pop up and I'm sure you know what happened. It took me to a porno sight more stuff there than I ever want to see again! Have you ever tried get out of a site with you eyes closed? His computer is Microsoft Sony Vista (new this year). We have unplugged it from Internet per instructions from some Microsoft information concerning this ugly worm. I scanned my computer last night with CC Cleaner, AVG and Spybot and so far I seem to be clean. I can go to all the Antivirus sites with no problem. Microsoft has a tool that will enable me to scan but I'm sure about using it. I am just overwhelmed here. Has anyone had any experience with this situation? I went to several websites last night and looked at removal tools. However, having never experienced this situation I don't know which tools are safe or really work. I note Microsoft has a removal tool does anyone have any opinions about how well it works. I don't have the experience to get into the registry and manually remove the virus at least I don't think I do. I really appreciate your help - thanks. Yvonne Yvonne
