Is there any font or keyboard action that will create a macron over a letter? I found Maori font directions, but that won't work for me. I work with old German records--the year in question is 1736, but this practice spreads over a long period of time: when the scribe writes "Ana" he makes a line over the n, which creates a double-n, and the person's name is Anna. Another example: Nieman with a line over the final n, meaning Niemann. While n seems to be the most common, other letters are also written with the macron or line, so I need to figure out how to make that double line over any letter. What I really would like is an alphabet, the line over each letter, that I can keep on my desktop and copy and paste when needed. I'm not very adept at downloading and installing things and figuring out how to make them work. Thanks for any help. Lila
