Hi Donna, Are you using Firefox 3.x ? If so, you can go to Tools >> Options >> Main Tab Under Startup:  Choose When Firefox Starts: Show my Windows and Tabs from Last Time I'm sure there is also an AddOn which will handle this more elegantly !!!
