    1. [COMPUTERS] AVG and Yahoo

    3. Hi, I've recently upgraded my AVG free virus protection and my computer seems to have been hijacked by Yahoo. I open Firefox with Google set as my home page, but now I have an AVG toolbar, which I don't want. I can close it easily enough, but Yahoo seems to have taken control of the small search window up next to where you type URLs. I use that a lot, and I don't want Yahoo - I'm a Google fan. Thgere are some other situations where instead of automatically going to Google, I get stuck with Yahoo. Any ideas on how to clear this out? Cheers, Robyn

You need to WATCH CLOSELY when installing ANY program, AND use 'custom' if offered (where you can uncheck the 'install this junk'). Go to control panel>programs, and see if you can uninstall it there. Or, in IE7, go to Tools>manage add-ons, and you might find it there.
