I just use Windows Explorer (My Computer) and copy the different folders that I need to back up. A thumb drive (flash drive) is NOT the best type to use. You will have better results with a External USB hard drive. They now come very small in size, but very large in storage space. I have seen several in the 300 Gig range for less than $100 US.
