Hello group , I am trying to get the download of Microsoft Service pack 3 for Win XP It seems like every place I Look want to install some ' crap " i need not , Could you pleasre give me a URL that will take me to a webpage that Gives me that download with out all the UNWANTED Stuff !!, Please and thanks , Phil

Check out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389 and scroll down about half way to "Download the Windows XP Service Pack 3 package now", and click the note. This is the ONLY place to down load from or use Windows Update. Check for updates on Windows Update To check for updates on Windows Update, follow these steps: 1.. Visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) 2.. Click Express (Recommended). 3.. If your computer is up to date, Windows XP SP3 will be one of the updates that is automatically selected. Click Install.
