    1. Re: [COMPUTERS] Disabling programs
    2. Thanks, Kevin-- I guess I asked the wrong question or asked it incorrectly. These are not start-up programs, but my anti-virus and anti-malware programs. I am trying to access some files that others are able to acess, but I cannot. I though perhaps the configuration on these two programs were blocking my access to the files. Any further ideas? Thanks a lot.

    3. Hi ????? First I would question what the downloads are, firewalls and anti virus is there for a reason, it can throw up the sorts of problems that you describe but would want to be sure they are safe downloads before resorting to turning off a firewall If you are happy to turn off your protection, usually a right click on the icon in your task tray will give an option to close it down Another option would be to get someone you know had downloaded it to send it to you Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Thanks, Kevin-- > > I guess I asked the wrong question or asked it incorrectly.
