    3. Hi Lila, I think I am misunderstanding you problem.  I had a look at the file you sent and had no problems entering an "O umlaut" using Alt+0214. Is this your issue or am I not understanding properly ? You stated... "I attempted to type Valentin Öhm, and the umlaut O simply will not appear." ... How are you typing in this name ?     3. I'm typing Alt + 0214, and it worked where Elisabeth Öhm is entered, but it won't show the umlaut on the line where Valentin Öhm is entered, just shows the plain O. It shows on print preview, however. I will print it to Adobe and see if it shows. I want to share the doc with a number of people. I had no trouble entering the Ö anywhere else in the doc.
