These "Restore" disks are NOT made from the files on the C drive, but from a restore partition, which on some machines is the "D" drive and most others a hidden partition. What is the make and model of this machine, as each has a different way in accessing the burning method? I loaned the laptop to a granddaughter for several months. When the laptop was returned, the disks were not with it. I have wiped most of her old files, and have been told I can make a new set of disks. My questions is, what is actually copied onto a restore disk? Just the main factory installed start up items, or will it include the programs that also came with it, for which there were no hard copies? (I have added my own anti-virus/spy program and removed the trial programs that came with the laptop, and possibly some other items.)
