Hi List Don't know what's happened but I'm about 3/4 of the way through my piece of the 1861 census, went to the shops came back and it won't let me do anything, every time I click on anything to continue all I get is a "ping" from my computer it won't even let me close it!!! frustrated any ideas please?????!!!! Pam
Switch off (pull the plug out if it will not behave), wait at least five minutes and switch back on. If your computer is a laptop - then you may also need to take the battery out. Hi Pam You may have already pulled the plug but if not the problem sounds like an open edit window Is the computer responding at all? ie does the number lock work or it the keyboard locked? If locked ignore my suggestion, otherwise try going to the desktop, is there an open edit window there or a download waiting an OK to be clicked I get the same problem if I leave an edit window open in say PAF or in mid save and search for something else, get distracted and wonder why PAF or whatever does not react for me, the edit / save window is sometimes underneath another Just a thought Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi List > > Don't know what's happened but I'm about 3/4 of the way through my piece > of > the 1861 census, went to the shops came back and it won't let me do > anything, every time I click on anything to continue all I get is a > "ping" > from my computer it won't even let me close it!!! frustrated any ideas > please?????!!!! > > Pam
